SBR Neoprene Sheet (Styrene Butadiene Rubber)

Features: “SBR Sponge Foam” is a synthetic rubber produced by polymerization of styrene and butadiene. It has excellent cushioning and warmth retention, but has poor compression resistance and is cheap.

SCR Neoprene Sheet (Chloroprene & Styrene Butadiene Rubber)

Features: “SCR Sponge Foam” is a mixture of CR (Chloroprene Rubber) and SBR (Styrene Butadiene Rubber) and is widely used in the production of various related products.

Applications: Wetsuit, surf suit, swimsuit, sports protective gear, medical protective gear, horse protective gear, gloves, shoes and bag..etc.

Features: “Polyurethane Foam Sheet” is a kind of cheap foam which often called ‘fake neoprene’. It is much more cheaper and with bigger density than normal neoprene. The foam holes is a little obvious. It’s suitable for some cheap promotional gifts.

Natural Rubber Sheet

Features: “Natural Sponge Foam” is a synthetic rubber produced by natural rubber. It has excellent elasticity, strength and pressure resistance and warmth retention with embossed anti-slip back side. Neoprene Sheet Manufacturer

The neoprene foam material we use is a closed-end foamed elastomer (honeycomb structure) with extremely low density (light weight), high flexibility and excellent thermal insulation properties. Common types are chloroprene rubber (CR, Neoprene) or styrene butadiene rubber (SBR), as well as a blended product (SCR).

Normative Interpretation: “Neoprene” = “CR” ≠ “SCR” ≠ “SBR”. “Neoprene” just refers to the “CR” (Chloroprene Rubber), but now the industry “Neoprene” include “CR” (Chloroprene Rubber), “SCR” (Chloroprene & Styrene Butadiene Rubber), “SBR” (Styrene Butadiene Rubber).

Smooth Skin

The initial state of the “Neoprene Foam” we used was “Foam Block”. We cut the “Foam Block” up into sheets with a thickness of 0.5 – 15 mm, commonly called “Neoprene Sheet”. The surface of “Foam Block” is called “Skin”, and the middle of “Foam Block” is called “Cell”. The “Skin” is stronger than the “Cell”, but the elasticity is slightly worse.

100% SBR type is normally for bag, covers..etc. It has several kinds of hardness for different applications. And RPET Recycle SBR neoprene is available as well.

SCR Neoprene Sheet (Chloroprene & Styrene Butadiene Rubber)

There are many kinds of composition which are 5% CR + 95% SBR, 10% CR + 90% SBR, 15% CR + 85% SBR, 30% CR + 70% SBR and 70% CR + 30% SBR.

100% CR: Common Type is made in China. There are also better type which are made in Taiwan, China or Korea. And the best expensive one is made in Japan called Yamamoto.
